So, the last ten days of my summer break are going to be the fucking worst.
In preparation for the beginning of my journalism career after I leave University, I'm part of a journalistic blog that gives people news, opinions, and in-depth coverage of all things Linkin Park. Since the last show of Mike Shinoda's Glorious Excess series is coming up fast (the opening is August 29th), I've decided to do a lengthy piece on "everything Glorious Excess."
The general idea is to compile as much information as I can into one article that covers everything from the beginning stages of Glorious Excess Born until the opening for Glorious Excess Dies on the 29th. It is meant to be an in-depth, hindsight look at every detail of the work Mike has put into bringing us this amazing series of shows. I plan to release it either on the day of or the day after the opening of Dies. The entire piece is going to take oodles of research that is probably going to wear me down to nothing over the course of the next eight to nine days, as I also have to prepare myself and all of my belongings to return to University. As I can't attend the opening of the art show myself (I have about $.65 to my name and will be traveling across the entire state of Indiana to return to University on the day of the show), I have to get as much information from the opening as possible to give myself ample coverage for the article. This is why I'm happy I have a friend who will be in attendance that night.
However, another large feat I must accomplish over the next week while trying to research and write this piece and pack everything I own back up, is to try to gain access to an exclusive interview (or perhaps just a few words) from Mike Shinoda himself regarding his incredible art series. While I know this will more than likely prove to be ridiculously easier said than done, I can't say that I'm not going to try. After all, what would a good journalist be without a few tedious tasks to accomplish before they were able achieve their goal. Good training, eh?
The end result, hopefully, will be something that all of the avid readers of the blog and Mike himself can enjoy as they look back at all of his hard work through pictures, information, stories, and general reflection from the artist himself.
I suppose this is what I'll hand over to Mike to try to get access to that "interview" I'm trying so desperately to acquire.
If you would like to grant our blog ingress into your "GLXS World," shoot us an email at mercifuldewy@hotmail.com and we'll go from there.
And for the sake of my sanity, if you're planning to make an email to be a dirty, little poser, don't. Because I will hunt you down. And I will strategically place, around your room, circus carnies who like to watch you while you sleep. You have been warned.
Thanks so much!
UPDATE::
Miraculously, I've finished the article with a load of time to spare. However, now I'm just waiting to see if I'm going to get that interview or not. Hargh. We'll see.
I'll give you cookies if you answer a few questions for me?

I will promote every person that helps me out...
by clicking this link, entering their birthday, and then sharing MY link (http://www.hunterhayes.com/mostwanted/?cf_synd_id=-yLdxTr&cf_uid=DPP6WDL) with their friends.
This is for a sweepstakes to travel to see Hunter Hayes in concert and hang out with him, and I would very much like to be considered to win!
It's not a scam. It takes you to a legit Hunter Hayes website. And I will promote (with the most popular tags) every person that reblogs this post AND sends me a message to prove that they have done what they needed to do.
Thanks for all the help!
Neck Injuries and Deathly Hallows
I haven't been doing much over the last week except sleeping, and that isn't by choice. It's mostly been medicine induced.
Sunday, July 3rd, I went out with my mom and some of her friends on a boating trip to the lake. Pretty much the entire day was just spent lounging on the boat, listening to music, getting sunburned. We left to go on the boat around 1pm. Around 6pm, I was tubing behind the boat. I had been tubing before, so it wasn't anything new that I hadn't done before. The boat took a particularly sharp turn, and I was hit by the wave from another boat. The tube flipped and threw me off. I summersaulted sideways and landed in the wate

Firstly, and most importantly, I am always far too long-winded when it comes to replying to things like this. I told myself I wasn't going to do this, that I was just going to stay out of this "debate," but I couldn't just keep quiet. It grated on my mind too much.
I think the thing that irritates me the most about this debate is the fact that people still think that everything should just be handed to them for free (or at least at a discount to what everyone else is paying). People, somehow, believe that they are more entitled to a free h
If it takes the rest of my life...
Baby, I will wait for you, because I don't know what else I can do. Don't tell me I ran out of time. If it takes the rest of my life, no matter what I have to do, I'll wait for you.
